To follow the Bass! recipe for a club night follow these instructions: chuck all of the heavy, grimey, gut-wobbling genres of dance music into a pot; blitz them until they’re nice and chunky. Simmer not-so-gently then bring to a roaring boil. Serve sweaty. Launched in June by Turbulence resident Aems and

club photographer Aim Jayne, Bass! has already chomped through two meaty courses since beginning its carniverous monthly session at The Attic. This month Bass! is attempting to further crank up its gears (if that’s possible) after July’s back-to-your-roots drum and bass set from Phobia. Flying back in time, Bass!#003 has Aems dishing up a classic old-skool set as he digs out records from the prodigious Kniteforce Records’ back catalogue. Happy days. And the rest? Grenade records’ Plus 8 will be laying-down a top-shelf jump-up set, leaving Codename:Tyrone to serve up a side-portion of dubstep and d’n’b while Fridgeman prepares the starter of breaks and bassline. Tasty. TL
